People often ask us what it feels like to run a pub that’s stood here since 1307.

The truth is, these 700-year-old stone walls have seen every kind of weather, every historic shift, and centuries of locals stepping through the door for a warm hearth and a cold drink.

For our family, it’s simply home. With the fourth generation behind this bar and even the fifth generation littllies are helping at the weekends and bossing the rest of the team about... following right in Mum and Dad’s or Granny and Gramps' footsteps!

The world outside changes fast, but a warm welcome, good company, and a proper pint never go out of fashion. Social media is nothing compared to this piece of history that we are keeping going.
