Who we are

The Old Bridge Inn, Priest Lane, Ripponden, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX6 4DF, is the data controller for the information described here. Email [email protected] or call 01422 822595.

Enquiries and bookings

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, optional telephone number, enquiry category, and message so that our staff can read and respond to it.

Authorised staff can access enquiries through the protected Foodigram staff portal. We do not use contact-form details to create public accounts or send marketing messages through this system.

Active enquiries are retained while staff are dealing with them. Enquiries marked as resolved are automatically deleted after 12 months. Staff can permanently delete an enquiry sooner when appropriate.

How we measure use of this website

We count visits to this website so we can see which pages are useful and how people find us. This is measured by our own software running on our own servers. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics, to advertising networks, or to any other third party, and we do not build profiles or track you across other websites.

We do not use cookies or any similar technology to do this, and nothing is stored on your device. Instead, each visit is counted using a one-way code created from a shortened version of your IP address together with the name of your browser. We shorten your IP address before that code is created — for example 203.0.113.47 is reduced to 203.0.113.0 — and we never store the full address. The code cannot be reversed to identify you, and it changes over time.

For each visit we record the pages viewed and when, the website that linked you to us if there was one, and your browser, operating system and general device type. We record the address of each page, never anything you type into a search or form.

This information is deleted automatically after 12 months.

Although we cannot identify you from it, this information still counts as personal data under UK data protection law. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used and in keeping it working well. You can object to this at any time using the contact details below.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep the site secure, and a second to remember your cookie choice once you have made one. We use no cookies for measurement or advertising. Our cookie policy lists them, and you can change your choice from Cookie settings in the footer at any time.

Who else handles your data

A small number of suppliers handle data on our behalf — the company that builds our booking system, our database host, and the service that delivers this website. They act only on our instructions. They are listed on our data processing page.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Our data rights page explains each right and exactly how to use it.

Getting in touch

To ask about information held about you, or to object to how it is used, email [email protected] or call 01422 822595.

Necessary Always on

Keeps the site secure and remembers this choice. The site cannot work without it.

We do not currently use any marketing or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, they will only be set if you turn this on.
