Over The Bridge is a detached 18th-century Grade II listed cottage at the foot of Ripponden’s ancient packhorse bridge. It looks over the River Ryburn and sits a few steps from St Bartholomew’s Church.
It is the natural place to stay when you are visiting the inn for dinner, a wedding, or a long Yorkshire walk. We can also arrange a table for you at The Old Bridge Inn when you book.

The Bridge Suite

The Bridge Suite is a spacious, recently refurbished room with its own private lounge and views towards the River Ryburn. The sofa folds down into a double bed, making it a lovely option for couples, families, or friends travelling together.

Breakfast is served from 7am to 9am, with locally sourced ingredients from K Todd and Son Butchers. Choose from a full Yorkshire breakfast, continental options, or the house speciality: the Yorkshire Tubby.
Dietary requirements can be catered for with notice. Tea, herbal tea, filter coffee, lattes, espressos, Americanos, and cappuccinos are all on the menu.

Dinner is just over the bridge
Stay close enough to enjoy a relaxed meal and a drink at The Old Bridge Inn, then take the short walk home beside the river. If you are celebrating, Over The Bridge can arrange wine, champagne, chocolates, or flowers for your arrival.
